Your Safety Is Our Priority
For us, the CE MDR (Class IIa) medical device certification alone is not enough.
To maximise your safety at home, UV Tactus is equipped with a range of advanced safety features not found in other devices.
Why it matters? The CE MDR mark confirms compliance with strict medical safety standards. But these additional features raise the bar even further — reducing guesswork, guiding each session, and helping you achieve true clinic-level results in the comfort of your home.
-
The device is digital, with key actions requiring additional confirmation
-
Sensors measure the exact dose in real time
-
A protective frame shields the surrounding skin
-
The mobile app guides you to perform each procedure clearly and safely
How to Use UV Tactus Phototherapy Lamp at Home?
Watch the video to see how simple it is to start UVB treatment at home.
UV Tactus is a digital, easy-to-use home phototherapy device. Every session is precise, safe and quick.
The Light Your Skin Really Gets — and Why It Matters?
The exact light dose determines treatment results. Without it, light therapy becomes guesswork and progress slows.
Older home devices don’t measure how much UV light reaches your skin — they only track how long the lamp is on. This is inaccurate, as dose varies with lamp ageing, distance and other factors. This results in some areas getting too little, others too much, making light therapy treatment unreliable.
Clinics measure UVB light in millijoules per square centimetre (mJ/cm²). UV Tactus does the same — the only certified home device with a built-in dosimeter that tracks light energy in real time. The screen shows the exact joules delivered, and once the set dose is reached, it switches off automatically.
Benefits of the UV Tactus dosimeter:
- Safe, effective home phototherapy treatment with clinical precision
- Faster, predictable results
- Clear, simple, controlled light therapy sessions
- Protection from overdosing or under-treating
Joules (J) measure the UV light energy your skin receives. In phototherapy, doses are given in millijoules per square centimetre (mJ/cm²) to calculate UV strength precisely. Example: A starting UV Tactus dose of 100 mJ/cm² means each cm² of skin gets exactly 100 millijoules of light energy.
Don’t Risk with Outdated Devices — Choose Professional, Modern UV Tactus Home Phototherapy.
| Modern technology | The only CE MDR-certified medical home phototherapy device with LED technology. Sixteen powerful LEDs evenly deliver 311 nm NB-UVB light across the entire treatment area — without heating the skin |
|
| Medical certification | Holds a CE MDR (Class IIa) medical device certificate and is designed for the safe, effective treatment of skin conditions such as psoriasis, eczema and vitiligo. UV Tactus also holds a unique design patent in Europe and the USA |
|
| Dosimeter for precision | The only device with an integrated professional dosimeter, ensuring your skin always receives the exact dose. The dose is measured in joules with real-time sensors, and the device switches off automatically to prevent overdosing |
|
| Large treatment surface with flexible zones | The only device with a large, adjustable treatment surface.Four individually controlled zones (each 26 cm²) can be combined to cover up to 106 cm². Light is directed precisely where needed, protecting surrounding skin from unnecessary exposure |
|
| APP for convenience | The only device with an app that simplifies treatment, helps with dose calculations, sends reminders, and ensures faster and more effective phototherapy |
|
| Easy and convenient to use | Portable, lightweight, and fits in the palm of your hand. Simple to operate with intuitive digital controls, while the app automates and streamlines treatment |
|
| Additional safety features | The CE MDR mark guarantees safety, while built-in protections include automatic shut-off, real-time dose measurement, and silicone applicators to focus the light. The UV Tactus app adds an extra layer of safety and precision in use |
|
| Expert guidance and support | The UV Tactus team is always by your side — offering guidance and advice to keep treatment safe, simple and effective |
|
| Outdated technology | Old fluorescent lamps distribute ultraviolet light unevenly, weaken quickly, and generate heat. Often there is no proof of which light wavelengths are used, leaving the therapeutic effect uncertain — or absent altogether |
|
| Medical certification | Many devices do not carry the CE MDR mark (often only a basic electrical safety CE label), are manufactured in China, and are not medical devices — offering no assurance of safety or effectiveness |
|
| Inaccurate dosing | Old devices can control only how long the lamp is on, rather than the amount of ultraviolet radiation the skin receives. This makes them unreliable, increasing the risk of overdosing or underexposure. With no auto shut-off, you must switch them off manually. |
|
| Small, fixed treatment area | The treatment surface is fixed and often just 44 cm² — more than twice as small as UV Tactus. Due to poor design, light is scattered unevenly and cannot be precisely directed, meaning healthy skin is also exposed to UV unnecessarily |
|
| No mobile app | Without an app, you must calculate doses by hand — increasing errors, risks and wasted time. No reminders often result in missed sessions, and without tracking, treatment is slower and less effective. |
|
| Inconvenient | Large, heavy and non-ergonomic devices are not designed for safe or comfortable use. They lack automated treatment plans, progress tracking and reminder functions |
|
| No consultation or support | Limited assistance and automated responses leave patients frustrated, isolated and uncertain — preventing effective treatment |
|
| No additional safety features | Often uncertified and made by unreliable manufacturers, these devices increase the risk of overdosing and errors. They lack automatic safety functions and have no protective frames, so UV light also reaches healthy skin |

F.A.Q.
The number of treatments needed with the UV Tactus device depends on the skin condition being treated and your response to phototherapy treatment. For psoriasis treatment and atopic dermatitis (eczema), you will typically need 20-25 sessions to see a significant improvement, while vitiligo may require a longer light therapy treatment period, often several months.
The recommended frequency for treatments is 3 times per week, which allows the skin to recover between sessions and reduces the risk of adverse effects.
The treatment frequency and duration are not fixed and should be tailored according to the individual’s response and doctor recommendations. Regular monitoring is essential to adjust the plan and optimize results.
It is very important to remember, that regular and consistent use is key, as missing sessions can delay progress.
The UV Tactus device offers quick light therapy sessions each lasting anywhere from a few seconds to several minutes. As treatment progresses, the dosage is often increased to accelerate healing. The treatment time depends on the dose, which varies based on the area being treated, your skin type, and the stage of therapy. For more stubborn areas or the full scalp, sessions may take up to 8 minutes. Typically, 20-25 sessions are needed to achieve full clearance, with treatments recommended three times a week. However, this may vary depending on your specific skin condition and how your skin responds to phototherapy.
For the best results, it’s important to follow your doctor’s advice and the Instructions for Use closely. The full light therapy treatment protocol is always included in the Instructions for Use that accompany the UV Tactus device. If you don’t notice improvements after three months, it’s recommended to consult your doctor to reassess and adjust your treatment plan.
At a time, UV Tactus can treat a body area of up to 106 cm² (approximately 10 cm by 10 cm). If the affected area is larger than this, you can divide it into smaller sections and treat each one separately until the entire affected area is covered. The device’s treatment area is divided into four individually managed parts, allowing you to select the necessary number of zones based on the configuration of the affected area. The companion app will also store how many zones were chosen for each specific body location, helping you track your progress and avoid missing or overlapping any areas. Simply move the device methodically to the next section and continue treatment as per the recommended guidelines. Always follow your light therapy treatment plan, and if you’re unsure, consult your healthcare provider
No special preparation is needed for a light therapy treatment session with UV Tactus. You can easily conduct sessions at your convenience from home, with each session lasting only seconds to minutes. The companion app will guide you through the process, calculating and suggesting the correct dose. Additionally, the app can send you reminders at your preferred time, ensuring you never miss a session. After completing the treatment, you can immediately return to your regular activities. For more details, always refer to the Instruction for Use
